Purchased RX8 15 years ago, I have always brought it into Mazda of Escondido for service. When repairs are needed or a recall occurs the job gets done. I did ask for a new oil pan gasket to be inserted. I was told a leak would have to be found first. Nope, just wanted a new oil pan gasket after 15 years of operation even if there was no leak.

Mazda of Escondido’s service department is awesome. My latest service was unscheduled (somewhat urgent due to a screw in a new tire) and they fit my CX5 into that day’s work. The service department staff always hears customer needs, makes time to discuss concerns, and keeps vehicle owners informed on the techs findings and work being performed on your vehicle. And if you buy your tires from the dealer, you get an honest deal. Plus, they do the warranty legwork for you when needed.

There was very little follow-up from Dick or Allan and trying to get quotes from them ended up becoming circular. My dealing with this particular dealer in Escondido, Auto Parkway was NOT good. Be prepared to wait a long time, things happen slow and they aren't very knowledgable.
